Dean’s Awards
Established in 2024 by Dean Mark Stetter as the Dean’s Staff Awards, this recognition program honored the exceptional contributions of staff throughout the School while advancing the goals of the SVM People First Initiative.
Administered by a committee, the awards are distinguished by their peer-nomination process. In 2025, the program was expanded to recognize both staff and faculty and was renamed the Dean’s Awards. (May not be awarded to faculty members every year.)
2025 Recipient
Champion in Philanthropy: Jodi Westropp
As the inaugural recipient of this newly established category in 2025, Dr. Westropp has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication in supporting both clients and clinicians at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, even during her sabbatical. Her agility, professionalism, and independent approach have ensured outstanding client experiences and strengthened confidence in the hospital's services. Furthermore, her contributions have already facilitated several transformative gifts to the school.
