Academic Senate Distinguished Scholarly Public Service

Academic Senate Distinguished Scholarly Public Service Award

The Academic Senate Distinguished Scholarly Public Service Award (given by UC Davis) recognizes significant contributions to the world, nation, state, or local community that fulfill the University of California’s mission of excellence in public service. Scholarly public service is an organized activity that extends a faculty member's expertise in teaching, research, or professional competence and is unpaid, focused, and a sustained extension of a faculty member's disciplinary or technical expertise beyond the university campus into public arenas. (May not be awarded to SVM faculty every year.)
