The Alumni Achievement Award is the highest honor bestowed by the school. One or more alumni are honored each year for outstanding personal and professional contributions to veterinary science or one of its branches, veterinary practice, or service to mankind and the advancement of human welfare. Honorees will be selected from graduates of the school's DVM, MPVM, and graduate academic (MS, PhD) programs, or individuals who have completed internship or residency programs. The award is presented at commencement in May. The nomination deadline is October 16, 2017; please visit the AAA website for more information.

Awardees will be honored at the SVM Spring Faculty Reception Friday, May 25, 2018 and presented with the award at the SVM Commencement Ceremonies on Saturday, May 26, 2018.
