Dean’s Staff Member of the Year Award

The School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) Dean’s Staff Member of the Year Award is a prestigious new honor designed to recognize exceptional contributions to the school’s mission:

• Advancing animal health
• Environmental protection
• Public health
• Economic development through high-quality education, research, and service programs. 

This annual award underscores the significant role staff members play in serving the people of California and beyond.

Dean's Strategic Initiative: People First

Through the SVM People First Initiative, Dean Mark Stetter established the SVM Dean’s Staff Awards Committee to enhance recognition of staff contributions to the School of Veterinary Medicine. The committee has outlined a slate of awards for 2024, shown below. The nomination form allows nominators to describe a staff member's contribution in one or more of the category awards (teamwork, positive impact, innovation, and professionalism). A nominator should include information for all categories if they want the staff member to be considered for the Dean's Staff Member of the Year Award.
